Meet Alannah.

Alannah Aiken is an ADHD coach and educator. It is her mission to empower people to understand, support and harness their ADHD so they can live a more fulfilling life with self compassion. She was diagnosed at 31 years old, and understands the daily challenges that can come with life with ADHD.

Alannah coaches people through a holistic ADHD lens, combining her knowledge in wellbeing from her studies in Yoga, Meditation and Reiki energy healing. She believes in a strength based approach, helping you to harmonise and work WITH your strengths and gifts.

  • We will work that out based on your unique schedule. You send me your preferences on days and times and I will confirm based on my availability.

  • No problem! We can reschedule. I ask for 24 hours notice if you know you need to reschedule a call. I understand there are circumstances that arise that are outside of our control.

  • There are 3 stages when it comes to forming new behaviours and habits.

    STAGE 1: INITIATION - we consciously decide to carry out a new desired behaviour. This is usually where my clients are when they start with me. By consciously choosing this level of mentoring & support it signals to your brain that you are ready to make changes in your life. We start with micro habits and build up together.

    STAGE 2: MAINTENANCE - consistent repetition of that behaviour. This is the stage where the neural pathways in your brain are strengthened. This is also the stage where resistance and challenges can arise, so it’s extremely beneficial to have ongoing accountability that support you with these new desired behaviours and habits.

    STAGE 3: AUTOMATION - the behaviour requires no conscious effort and has become a habit. On average, it takes more than 2 months before a behaviour becomes automated and is a formed habit.

  • Real growth takes time. We can’t expect sustainable change to happen overnight. You can be met with resistance which is natural, so it takes time to overcome the resistance to change. You likely have a lifetime of undiagnosed ADHD shame, habits and beliefs that are part of your subconscious programming. When we’re forming new habits, developing a new way of living and being, it takes time, accountability, guidance and support.

  • Mentoring & coaching looks at the future and at potential, at the present, more skill focused.

    Therapy looks at the past and how to improve/heal this for the future.

    My coaching and mentoring style is future focused. It is based around taking aligned action each day to support the next level version of you that you’re striving for. You’ll get really clear on your values and ways you can start aligning your life towards how you want to be feeling each day. My services are practical with real-world solutions.

    I help you develop a new level of self-awareness where you develop your own toolbox of strategies to support your wellbeing, confidence, mindset, perspectives, self love and compassion each day.

  • Body doubling is a strategy used by those with ADHD to enhance focus and productivity. It involves co-working on Zoom while working on tasks, providing external accountability and a structured environment. This strategy reduces feelings of isolation, mitigates procrastination, and may increase dopamine levels associated with motivation. It is done with the microphones on Mute to avoid distractions. We set a timer and set our work intentions then the magic and enhanced focus begins!

    External Accountability: Another person's presence promotes accountability.

    Structured Environment: Reduces impulsivity and distractions for a more organized work setting.

    Procrastination Deterrent: Acts as a deterrent to procrastination behaviors.

    Dopamine Boost: Social interaction may increase dopamine levels, enhancing focus.
